Worst Medical Device Recalls for 2015 (So Far), FDA Warning Letters, Meetings and RICO Suits
July 21, 2015
Qmed put together a list of the worst medical device recalls so far this year. Sadly, frequent readers of this site such as Bayer’s Essure injured women and Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon’s Gynecare injured transvaginal mesh women know all too well the damage done by a medical device left on the market too long.
Injured medical device victims, in their struggle to get media to pay attention to the negative truth the companies would rather remain hidden, through forced accountability are seeking justice directly through the FDA or by suing the FDA & medical device maker via RICO suits.

If these women have anything to say about it, Brian Buntz over at Qmed will have a few more devices to add to the naughty list of 2015.
It’s nice to the the FDA is actually trying to prevent crime for once & forcing accountability on Bard:

Until the issue is resolved, the FDA won’t clear or approve any Class III devices “to which the non-conformances are reasonably related,” Bard said.
