This page has pointed out numerous times, companies in the pharma/device industry want to get the fraud and negative press around patient injuring lawsuits off the books by the end of the year and true to from one of the biggest offenders Johnson & Johnson and their subsidiary DePuy Synthes announced today:

Again, those numbers always sound much more impressive than they really are and this latest settlement is in addition to the already settled $2.5 billion that were excluded from that settlement.
Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky’s famous quote:
“You don’t have to get it 100% right,” Gorsky says. “When you get it 60%, go! Any more time that you spend trying to figure it out, you’re going to lose in the speed that you’re missing out on.” MediaPost
Mr. Gorsky you’ll forgive the American people if we’d prefer Johnson & Johnson under your direction not run off half-cocked (or a little over half-cocked) with our lives and we’d suggest the FDA not allow Johnson & Johnson to release anymore products (ahem-Ebola-and the balls to ask for Federal funding?) to the market until all of Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes cases and Johnson & Johnson are resolved and Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon’s Gynecare 60,000 mesh cases are resolved. And by resolved we mean attorneys and victims paid (in their bank accounts).
Hey Mr. DOJ don’t you think you owe it to these women after the Dr. Andrew Brill FDA panel mix up in 2011? And how about re-opening the mesh investigation and this time without any paid JNJ consultants on the panel?
