Startup Fraud: Filed Under: Not Surprising
UPDATED: 3.11.2014 2:09PM* (below)
Let’s look at a pattern that is prevalent in The Sociopathic Business Model™, pathological lies that culminate in the form of public denials but fact based evidence over time eventually exposes the truth and damages the image they lie to protect.
CEOs or (Governmental official) operating as a corrupt kings who demands loyal subjects do as they’re told, even if illegal-especially if illegal or they risk hearing off with their heads!
All accomplices under this model eventually become victims:
So let’s look at a few examples where we’ve applied the characteristic of The Sociopathic Business Model™ accurately to predicted outcomes of recent events.
Governor Christie and the George Washington Bridge Scandal
(The Sociopathic Business Model ™ demonstrates Christie knew and likely orchestrated the bridge closure to retaliate against an opponent, his accomplices (top political aide and deputy chief of staff) did as they were told (even if illegal) fearful for their jobs.
Governor Christie denied his or his staff’s involvement about the bridge closure (lie)
Fact based evidence shows that his top political aide and deputy chief of staff did know (caught in lie)
Governor Christie’s image was damaged by the exposure of the truth (facts threatened image)
Governor Christie manipulates the rights of others for his own gain and fires two of his people(manipulation)
Governor Christie still denies and said he “had no knowledge” of the scandal (lie)
Evidene exists that confirms that Governor Christie did know and his ‘loyal subjects’ try to protect him (lie)
- Those still protecting him (accomplices) will become evental (victims).

Isolating just the pathological lies from The Sociopathic Business Model ™ shows a pattern for us to look for in other officials or CEO’s and remember the nemesis to this model is truth exposed causing damage to the image

Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles and Investor Money Missing
Mark Karpeles said in a press conference he didn’t know where the investor’s money went (lie)
Mark Karpeles placed blame on ‘hackers,’ (lie)
Mark Karpele’s personal blog was ‘hacked by hackers’ (exposing truth confirming Karpeles lied)
The anonymous hackers leaked data allegedly proving that customer bitcoins are not lost after all and that some 951,116 BTC might still exist and Karpeles is still in control of them. (that’s about $5oo million in real people money).
Here’s my favorite part:
Not long after the leak, which might have come from disgruntled former Mt. Gox employees, individuals claiming to be Mt. Gox customers took to Twitter to say that they opened the zip file and were able to confirm their own account balances based on their user Mt. Gox IDs issued in their initial Mt. Gox registration email.
I love when the company spin is ‘disgruntled former employees,’ (placing blame again) but taking no accountability to the fact that the company stole from investors and left the employees unemployed (accomplices now become victims) left holding only the startup carrot wielded like a magic wand to get employees do as they’re told, even if illegal.
And how about we start calling the employees what they really are: pissed off victims!
We will likely see much more startup fraud in the next few years. The billion dollar blinders cause investors to overlook the CEOs true backgrounds and invest because someone they know someone previously did (Hello Bernie Madoff anyone?) We need to identify these criminals, well educated and well dressed which disarms employees and investors alike, which makes them even more dangerous; but, make no mistake, they are criminals and we need to start working towards removing them from the system and putting them into another system, one where they pick out the clothes for them.
