Under The Sociopathic Business Model™ all accomplices (patients, consumers, employees and taxpayers alike) eventually become victims. This site has focused recently on the patients 60,000 victims at the hands of Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon’s Gynecare and other manufacturers (29,000+ JNJ) ; but, what many may not understand is how the company’s decision to put profits before patients sets off the chain reaction and creates more victims.
As this site has often said there are varying degrees of victimization and this exercise is not to compare the victim’s level or amount of damage just to demonstrate the chain recation that protects executives while harming patients, employees and taxpayers.
Take for instance Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes:

Patients are physically and mentally injured and damaged the most by the executives decisions to pathologically manipulate the facts putting profits before patients. There is not question and it’s not being questioned-the loss of function is the greatest loss.
Employees, often pathologically lied to, did as they told (even if unethical or illegal) or were threatened, intimidated, made to feel hopeless and feared retaliation if not compliant. The unemployed are further demeaned and insulted when the company diminishes their importance by referring to their positions as less than 2% as a justification for their unethical and illegal activities claiming more victims at the hands of executives.
Please understand that this is not saying the loss of a job is the same as the loss of a bodily function-again, the patients are the most injured victims and if you are a patient victim you may not have sympathy for the employees; however, just as you were lied to and your surgeon was lied to, the employees are also lied to-something to keep in mind as you move from victim to empowered survivor.
Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes $2.5 Billion
Taxpayers are sold that the government recovered the money for “We the People,” but it’s not like taxpayers see this in the form of a stimulus. In fact we don’t know where it goes and some may not understand what this does for private insurance. If you are employed and have private insurance, the private insurance companies do not “go after” companies like Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes for repayment but just raise the insurance rates on the privately insured.
As this page has stated there will be a huge push to get the fraud off the books by the end of the year, mesh, hips and the yet unknown of the pharma and device companies; and, as they ready to try and demean and insult patient victims (low-ball settlements) they will again demean and insult the employee victims as we should see layoffs from Johnson & Johnson. Sadly, we’ll get to test this theory all too soon.
UPDATED: Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon’s Acclarent layoffs: Roughly 50 employees were told yesterday they get to stay until the middle of December only to find their jobs listed on jobsites and current management have to re-interview for their positions More victims.
Now if they’d just do the same for JNJ executives: Alex Gorsky, Gary Pruden and Bridget Ross who have follwed the Yellow Brick Road to JNJ fraud starting at JNJ’s Janssen with Risperdal and the $2.2 billion fine and the same three linked to JNJ’s Ethicon’s Gynecare and the 24,000 mesh cases in federal court (not including those additionally filed by individuals) where they were found to have destroyed documents so what could these same three have done with Acclarent that would cause employees to become victims?

Being a steel broker for over 30 years, it was a ludicrous idea to EVER manufacture metal-on-metal hip implants. Moisture and Salt are steel’s worst enemy. I bought and sold secondary steel. If foreign material coming into the country on a ship arrived with any kind of moisture damage, the first question you ask the surveyor, was “Is it salt water damage?”. If so you Did Not buy it. Salt water rust is a corrosive action that never stops.
And the testing done by the manufacturer for the hip implants
was in a machine….5,000,000 (million) revolutions in a bovine solution. Only catch…the solution was only changed every 300,000 revolutions.
In a human the blood passes through on average 60 (?) times a minute. NaCl2, 60 times a minute? There was no way these would ever work. Who dreams this stuff up?
I was frankly stunned when I read the study that any steel mill would actually take an order to produce prime steel to this specfication.

All medical devices have to do is meet specifications as pieces and parts, not as a whole functioning part, to be cleared under the 510 (k). Ridiculous, isn’t it?
