The headlines in these cases are always deceiving and designed that way either by the companies themselves or in conjunction with the DOJ to manipulate the facts to make the victims look greedy when in fact they’re re-victimizing the victims. Today is the start of Q4 and for those not in sales-it’s go time for the salesforce and sweep it under the rug time for executives who want to distance themselves from their crimes before the end of the year!

  • Endo International Plc (ENDP) agreed to pay more than $400 million to resolve lawsuits alleging its vaginal-mesh implants eroded in some women and left them in pain, people familiar with the settlement said.
  • Endo, which rose almost two percent today, said it settled “substantially all” the remaining U.S. suits against its American Medical Systems Holdings unit over the Perigee, Apogee and Elevate mesh implants, Chief Executive Officer Rajiv De Silva said yesterday in a statement. De Silva said the company was adding $400 million to its $1.2 billion liability reserve for the devices, designed to support pelvic muscles and treat incontinence.

The deal resolves more than 10,000 suits for an average of about $48,000 apiece, according to two people familiar with the settlement who didn’t want to be identified because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the accord.

What a windfall for these ladies, some of whom have been out of work for years and still won’t be able to return to work-that $48,000 is not likely to cover on year of expenses let alone a lifetime of expenses. Who is negotiating these deals for these ladies? The Devil?

By CEO Rajiv De Silva’s own accord the company has $1.2 billion in reserves for the next time the company fucks up-how reassuring. Time to Boycott Endo International and Boycott American Medical Systems and demand that CEO Rajiv De Silva is banned for life from the industry #GetActive

And when is the FDA going to step up with some forced accountability and recall all mesh and demand more money for these victims-here’s an idea maybe they can forego their cut on these settlements?

  • Hello Melayna, Amen about AMS! Just found yourwebsite recently and I am impressed, the content and the site itself. Very well done. Applaud your use of language they might understand.

I’ve been fighting Ethicon/J&J since 2005, Pro Se in federal court, at the FDA and in Congress. Was back at FDA in August for the first time since 2012 pushing to get mesh off the market. Good meeting.

Let’s talk please. My phone numbers are on both of my sites, http://www.meddeviceexpertllc.com and http://www.truthinmedicine.us.com.

  • Melayna, It takes a lot of courage on your part speaking out and jeopardizing your own lifetime career opportunities for the sake of doing the right thing. I so appreciate your telling the truth about these “sociopathic corporations”. It’s my new favorite adjective in describing J&J!

Have you seen the online Ethisphere article 2007 naming J&J as a criminal corporation and listing all their known illegal activities (at that time)? Of course there is more now. Will send you the link.

Includes buying 100 negative URL’s to prevent the truth about how young women were dropping dead on the street from the Ortho Evra hormone patch because of the massive amount of estrogen in it.

The kind words are well deserved!
