AG-elect Healey weighs targeting drug companies
Targeting drug/device companies is NOT enough. Not until we quit allowing two known corrupt entities to negotiate behind closed doors on behalf of the American people will positive change occur. The million/billion dollars fines are doing nothing to prevent or deter future crimes; and, NOT until the DOJ is willing to put these criminal CEOs in jail will the industry change positively for “the People.”

Election time! Do you know if your state’s Attorney General is up for election? Do you know why you should care? Candidly, prior to the last few years I really hadn’t given it much thought, that’s changed and here’s why-we’re allowing two known corrupt entities to negotiate on behalf of the American people behind closed doors.
The State’s Attorney General is the one who prosecutes those big federal cases against GM, Toyota, Johnson & Johnson and Bank of America ; and, those big billion dollar checks fines (wire transfers actually) are nationally announced via the newly resigned US Attorney General Eric Holder who holds an exciting press conference and the government sends out a press release with #PRSPin to let the American people know that they’ve taken money from corrupt companies. The only problem with that is that “We the People” never really know where all these billions are going other than into the hands of the corrupt government. Anyone remember IRS $50 million line dancing meetings? Or this: DOJ spending over $500,000 on a LinkedIn Profile
It’s been stated here before that there’s really no incentive for the government to want to “fix” or prosecute criminally the corrupt companies who act like terrorists as money changes hands, the goverment profits, and executives are free to encourage, replicate and are rewarded for their unethical and illegal behavior while accountability is shifted away from the criminals back to the victims–the American taxpayers.

It’s not until “We the People” vote in Attorney Generals who are willing to force accountability from the companies by putting executives behind bars and banning them for life from holding any executive positions will we create any positive change that will protect patients, consumers, employees and taxpayers alike. And it’s not until the USDOJ provides a transparent breakdowns of where all these billions are allocated will the government be held accountable to those that elected them.
This settlement is part of the ongoing efforts of President Obama’s Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force and its Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) Working Group, which has recovered $36.65 billion to date for American consumers and investors.
Johnson & Johnson to Pay More Than $2.2 Billion to Resolve Criminal and Civil Investigations
“As patients and consumers, we have a right to rely upon the claims drug companies make about their products,” said Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Civil Division Stuart F. Delery. “And, as taxpayers, we have a right to ensure that federal health care dollars are spent appropriately. That is why this Administration has continued to pursue aggressively – with all of our available law enforcement tools — those companies that corrupt our health care system.”

GM CEO Hasn’t Met With Investigators in Ignition Probe – WSJ
They have said that because GM allegedly covered up problems with the switch for more than a decade, and received support from the U.S. government during its bankruptcy, it should not fight against plaintiffs’ attempts to seek payment for their injuries. Reuters
Although Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, wouldn’t comment on the GM investigation, he did issue a clear warning to all automakers about avoiding the same mistakes made by Toyota. CNBC
Also today, the Department of Justice announced a deferred prosecution agreement with TOYOTA (“the agreement”) under which the company admits that it misled U.S. consumers by concealing and making deceptive statements about two safety issues affecting its vehicles, each of which caused a type of unintended acceleration.

Amazing-maybe there isn’t freedom of speech anymore:

Hi Melayna,
How do you come up with the Google graph? Does it mean that your keywords are blocked?
As to the billions in criminal fines paid by terrorist corporations to the DOJ, why is it not paid to the actual victims instead of the government? Surely it does not cost billions of $ to prosecute those cases.
If you are an injured patient, you are repeatedly injured by the system, over and over and over.

Hi Lana-It’s on the back end analytics of the website-it shows all the traffic that visits the page. I’ve started to track when Google hits my page and how quickly my traffic changes. My guess is certain words are flagged in their system. Like when I wrote about Google’s married executive Forrest (Tim) Hayes who died from an overdose given to him by a prostitute. Apparently that’s bad for Google business. https://www.killingmycareer.com/the-sociopathic-business-model/google-prspin-unspun-executive-forrest-tim-hayes-the-sociopathic-business-model/
Google’s acting God-like censoring what people are able to read by re-routing traffic (why SEO is not important and content is). The NSA created a monster getting into bed with Google and again “We the People” become the victims of both of their unethical and illegal activity. https://www.killingmycareer.com/the-sociopathic-business-model/google-got-in-bed-with-the-nsa-while-nsa-flirts-with-microsoft-apple/
Some of the billions does go to victims (but very little) and that money is also re-taxed. I would think that’s double taxation and why we broke free from England in the first place; but, our Government feels they do not have to follow the law for some reason. Even better logic if the case take longer (and the government spends more money on the case) the victims get more. If the case settles quickly and the government doesn’t have to prosecute the victims get less) #FedLogic https://www.killingmycareer.com/the-sociopathic-business-model/sec-has-6500-whistleblowers-pr-spin-unspun/
I agree victims in The Sociopathic Business Model™ will continue to get re-victimized until there is forced accountability and the only way to achieve that is by exposing truths others would rather remain hidden. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment Lana, it is truly appreciated.
