AOL’s CEO Tim Armstrong a Repeat Baby Basher!
According to today’s article in ValleyWag, (the first to grab on to this story), AOL’s CEO, Tim Armstrong, in hot water once again, it appears he previously had problems with water of a different kind: water breaking.
In 2005, Armstrong was working as Google’s VP of Sales when he was sued by a former female sales executive on the grounds of discriminated against her when she was pregnant with quadruplets. Armstrong previously promoted the sales executive in 2003, and later he demoted her the same month she lost two of her unborn children.
And again, if a company is willing to overlook EEOC rights of employees they are likely to engage in other illegal activity. Are you tired of this yet? Because I am!
We’re going to keep seeing this until we stop the cycle where this type of behavior is not only tolerated, it is encouraged, replicated (ahem second time in the press about baby bashing) and rewarded (better position with better pay). Boycott AOL until Tim Armstrong is made to resign.
