Alternet’s Adam Johnson’s “Sociopathic CEO-Speak” is Describing The Sociopathic Business Model™ without Citing Source
August 20, 2015
Today the article Why Bezos’ Denials About Exploitation at Amazon Sound Like Sociopathic CEO-Speak Adam Johnson/ Alternet was tweeted to me:
— John the Apostle™ (@RealJohnBravo) August 20, 2015
John the Apostle™ and I have shared similar workplace abuse stories, different industries, but similar patterns of abuse; and, he relayed the chart I developed to help people think of their career like any other important relationship in their life was helpful to him. I’m always grateful for real-world feedback and it’s an added bonus when it’s in the affirmative.
I’m not the first nor sadly will I be the last to point out sociopathic behavior in corporate America as there’s a pattern of encouraging, replicating and rewarding unethical and or illegal behavior that isn’t ending anytime soon. So much so that Killing My Career was created using my personal story of workplace abuse from Menlo Park, CA startup Acclarent through the sale of the company working for Johnson & Johnson as an active Case Study. Diagnostic tools like the chart above or The Sociopathic Business Model™ Checklist could be referenced in order to help patients, consumers, employees and taxpayers identify & protect themselves from abusive corporate behavior while exposing the negative truth companies would rather remain hidden as a means of truthfully damaging image/profits to force accountability and create positive corporate change.
You’ll note the lack of advertising on the site and that’s by design (yes, I know it goes against reason) but there are several reasons I’ve chosen to run the site ad free. First, if what I’ve learned and developed can help even one person make a better choice regarding their career, purchases or who they trust with their professional or political needs then the site has achieved one of its goals; and, second advertising can corrupt the integrity of the work. The third reason is something I cannot legally discuss at this time but as it stands I answer to no one and the work is my own original content. That does not however mean the theory or concepts from The Sociopathic Business Model™ can be written about without citing the source of the original content.
Why Bezos’ Denials About Exploitation at Amazon Sound Like Sociopathic CEO-Speak Adam Johnson/ Alternet August 18, 2015
So when the New York Timespublished its measured indictment of Amazon’s dog-eat-dog corporate culture last Sunday, the response from Amazon’s finely honed PR department — and its ideological confederates in Silicon Valley— was equal parts laughter and equal parts dismissal. It wasn’t just unfair, in their minds; it was a contradiction in terms.
Alternet’s Johnson in his article goes on to show Amazon’s pathological history of encouraging, replicating and rewarding unethical and or illegal behavior or the existence of The Sociopathic Business Model™.
Johnson wrote an article based off Amazon and what he calls “Sociopathic CEO-Speak” which demonstrates that Sociopathic CEO-Speak/Amazon PR dictates the unethical and illegal actions of the whole company which are encouraged, replicated and rewarded and the definition of The Sociopathic Business Model™. Appropriating and renaming someone else’s developed and documented theory is not only unethical it’s fraud.
The Sociopathic Business Model™ Developed in 2011 by Melayna Lokosky (and author of this article and website) which was first published publically 2013 and made available on the website www.killingmycareer.com since January 2014-present.
Alternet’s Johnson cites examples of Amazon’s unethical & illegal behavior & Amazon’s PR Spin (or on this site #PRSpin #PRSpinUnSpun a formula often used on this site to demonstrate The Sociopathic Business Model™)
1. April 2001: The Guardian: UK workforce attacks Amazon: Biggest online store accused over wages and conditions.
2. December 2008: Times of London: Amazon UK accused of sweatshop conditions.
3. September 2011: The Morning Call: Lehigh Valley workers tell of brutal heat, dizzying paceJohnson at online retailer.
4. November 2013: BBC: Amazon workers face ‘increased risk of mental illness.’
Amazon’s PR Spin is not the same as Sociopathic CEO-Speak (which Johson originally implies is one person) but what Alternet’s Johnson is unethically and illegally appropriating as his own idea without citing the actual source is in fact The Sociopathic Business Model™.
Alternet’s Johnson is claiming Sociopathic CEO-Speak is really when the company employs tactics from The Sociopathic Business Model™ where they glibly manipulate facts while not recognizing the rights of others without shame, remorse, guilt or accountability (or his 4 point bullet list above).
Let’s look at Johnson, someone whose work is published on the website Alternet, and his response as it relates to The Sociopathic Business Model™ .
Below I point out that what Alternet’s Johnson is writing about is The Sociopathic Business Model™ as a polite means of allowing him to update “his original” work. Let’s also remember someone from Twitter, whom I’ve never personally met, reached with his attached article and the phrase The Sociopathic Business Model™.
Alternet’s Johnson who manipulated the facts, while not recognizing my rights without shame, remorse or guilt opted to insult and demean opposed to take accountability for his unethical behavior.
I’m not advertising, my site doesn’t advertise or accept advertisements, I am correcting a gross error in Alternet/Johnson’s article-Unethically appropriating and renaming someone else’s developed and documented theory is fraud.
Alternet’s Johnson’s Inconsistent & contradictory manipulation of the facts which allow him to take credit for others work
Citing my work from my own website does not make the facts any less valid.
Alternet’s Johnson’s “Don’t respond” is an excellent example of rarely challenged and prefers to work that way or Selective Tolerance A under The Sociopathic Business Model™.
Funny, Alternet’s Johnson recommended Amazon CEO Google his own company, advice he himself should have taken as what he’s describing is a sociopathic business and cached on Google’s first page:
Mr. Johnson I will be responding.
