It’s been relatively quite since the Valeant bid for Allergan/Botox with the exception of others possibly entering the ring and driving up the price (even a bigger win for Ackman).

It’s still suspected that Ackman’s Trojan horse was never targeting Valeant in the first place and had designs on a much bigger target. Ackman’s fund, Pershing Square Capital Management, acquired a 9.7% Allergan stake for $3.2 billion, so while he’s publically supporting the sale to Valeant, it would stand to reason he’d be just as happy to sell the company for double or triple the asking price valued at $42-$47 million.

Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon’s Gynecare embroiled in nasty lawsuits regarding Prolift and TVT Retropubic meshes, (also used for among other medical issues overactive bladder) lost or destroyed thousands of documents and computer files about the development of the devices from as far back as 2007.
Let’s just hope that if Johnson & Johnson who is responsible for over half of all the 40,000 mesh lawsuits does acquire Allergan/Botox that among other things they would provide free bladder Botox for any patient who received any of the Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon, Gynecare products (regardless if they filed a lawsuit). Wouldn’t that be the very least they could do towards showing some accountability?
